It’s a bit thin on historical context — as so many web videos are. (Do people know how to tell narrative stories anymore?) But it’s a good introduction to the energy, the philosophy & the ramshackle and intriguing sound of Terry Riley’s “In C“.
I was bummed indeed to miss the new music all-star edition last week at Carnegie Hall.
