Vampire Weekend’s video march to victory
Wow, just wow to Vampire Weekend’s new video for their song “Holiday”:
When is the last time a band has made three videos in a row of such consistent high quality. Here’s video number one, “Cousins”:
You’ll either love or you’ll hate these. If you love them, if you get how the band is reveling in the biographical details that might make you hate them most — how they’re turning them into self-parodic assets — well you’ll be a fan for life.
And if you hate it, they’re saying, well, then fuck you, get over it.
