The dominant weather pattern in New York City this summer has been HOT. The dominant weather pattern on this blog seems to be STRANGE. Today Hermeto Passcoal. (Via Sophie Brous, I think.)

This morning a poet friend IM’d me a poem. That was a first for me. (And, actually, it was a Gchat message but you get the idea.)
Soon, she will be going to Brazil for a long time, a place I’ve had reason to think about a fair bit of, of late. The poet’s status message led me to this video. I wonder if it means something.
Later that same day, in the evening actually, an acquaintance was discussing the internet over dinner. He asked, “Do you sometimes feel that when you’re on the internet it’s as if you’re looking for something that you will never find?”
Why yes, yes I do. I guess sometimes a poem is just a poem.
